Robert Frost & his Literary Element.

To begin, I’ll Be talking about Robert Frost’s poem “After Apple-picking”. To me his poem was about how in the beginning of his apple picking season, it was great and wonderful but it all comes to an end. I believed he used  Metaphoric imagery to show how not only the seasons but our lives come to end and how frail they are. Also how uneventful it was.

Our lives are like the apples themselves, beautiful and frail. I say this because like the apples they and be bruised very easily. Frost said / there were ten thousand fruit to touch, cherish in hand, lift down, and not let fall./ ( 30.31,32) To me he was saying that these apples are our lives and we need to pick them carefully. One mistake and we can easily bruise or worse. So we must cherish our lives and be careful with them. Now Not only did frost talk about our lives but he also talked about the season’s and sleeping.

Sleeping is mandatory for us to be able to do what we do every single day.  Compare a woodchuck’s hibernation to a human’s regular sleep. Frost said / The woodchuck could say whether it’s like his long sleep, as I describe its coming on, Or just some human sleep/ (35 & 36) When Frost said this I took it as The season’s ending was our lives. To me it was showing how every thing comes to an end like the apple picking season ended, so did the woodchucks time to be free. Then once it ended, the woodchuck went in to hibernation and he went to sleep  or he could be dead. This is how he compared life to the seasons and there ending.
Finally, just to get my point across. Frost showed us how easily life can slip by and there opportunities and how life is so frail so we need to be careful. Our lives are something that we shouldn’t play with or take lightly, like the apples we can be easily bruised and can fall. Lastly, if money wasn’t an object to me in life, I would become a parkour instructor. Now I understand that when you hear that at first you may think that it only benefits me and the ones who actually learn it. Allow me to explain. Teaching parkour not only would help people physically but also mentally. It would show them that we can overcome any obstacle in our path no matter how big it is, it can be conquered. It also show how there is so much more in self then you can actually see, to open our eyes to something much more then we see in front of us.

#8 If I could change one thing.

Crying, that is the one thing that I regret and want to change. I hate crying with a passion. cryiong shows weakness, disgrace, foolish, and just plain stupid. On may of 2009 my uncle "mookie" died in an car accident on the highway going to my grandmothers house. That day was the day that I promised my self that I will never cyr again, EVER. Crying is something I despise. At his funeral that was the one time I wanted to cry yet I couldn't even do that for him. I felt helpless and weak that day. "From that day forward I will never be weak again." those were the words I told myself that night. I will be there for my friends and family. Never again will I allow this to happen. This what I regret.

# 7 Favorite hobby.

When I was given this assignment I had so many hobbies I wanted to put down. To many to think about at once though. So Out of all the ones I like to do I chose running. Running is one of the ways I push my self to my limit as a person and as a runner. Running to me is a daily thing really. To me it is funny how I love to run so much. My father broke three records when he was in highschool and my mother went to state when she was in highschool. Ive always wanted to go to state for track or maybe even the olympics. To run the 100 -meter or even throw shot put and discus in the olympics would be amazing. See i'm thinking to much of it, back to running. Running is like a life training for me. The more I run, the more I want to run, faster and faster.Ive ran over a 150 miles within the past year alone. That would have to be one of my greatest acheivment. Running is aprt of my life and I will never give it up. Simple as that.

Rap/ Hip hop/ Lupe Fiasco

My favourite type of music would have to be Rap and Hip Hop. Ever since I was little, rap has been apart of me as far as I can remember. Rap is music that speaks to me in so many different ways. Rap is like a tradition to me, I'll listen to it even when I grow old. Also, old school rap tells stories like no other. stories of Love, struggles, rags to riches and more. My favourite Rap artist would have to be Lupe Fiasco. His flow in his raps is different than other rappers. His music is deep and more real than other rappers in my personal opinion. His raps aren't like the stereo typical rappers. He doesn't rap women in a disgraceful way or about sex and drugs all the time. Lupe's raps are real and truthful to him. His one song "freedom ain't free (around my way) is one of his new songs and this song is about how we may live in America but freedom still isn't truly free around his way. This is why Rap will be my favorite type of music and why Lupe is my favorite Rapper. This is my Music. https://www.google.com/search?hl=en&safe=off&q=lupe+fiasco+around+my+way&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.r_cp.r_qf.&biw=1024&bih=499&pdl=300&um=1&ie=UTF-8&tbm=isch&source=og&sa=N&tab=wi&ei=oEFvULCPFuT30gHM9IGIAQ
